After suffering another walk-off loss at the hands of the San Francisco Giants, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to take the rubber match against the San Francisco Giants before continuing with their six-game road trip.

A victory will give the Dodgers their first series win at AT&T Park since Sept. 12-14, 2014. Los Angeles is 4-5 against San Francisco this season. Julio Urias faces yet another road challenge in his young career as he draws the first-place Giants in a game that’s being televised on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

Urias is coming off the best start of his brief time with the Dodgers, holding the Colorado Rockies to one run on three hits. Although he only managed to throw four innings due to exhausting his pitch count, Urias collected seven strikeouts.

Overall this season, the young left-hander owns a 6.94 ERA, 5.60 FIP, 1.88 WHP and has 14 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched. Sunday is the third time in four starts Urias takes the mound on the road.

He was originally slated to start Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts preferred Urias over Mike Bolsinger to face the National League West-leading Giants. San Francisco is batting .260/.326/.398 against left-handed pitching.

Urias is opposed by Jake Peavy, who has pitched well against the Dodgers in his career. Over 30 career starts, the veteran right-hander is 14-3 with a 2.50 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. However, Peavy allowed four runs on 10 hits in just five innings when he faced the Dodgers on April 7.

San Francisco did, however, come away with a home win that day. Peavy this season is 2-6 with a 6.41 ERA, 4.29 FIP and 1.56 WHIP in 12 starts. Pitching at AT&T Park hasn’t guaranteed success, as he’s 1-2 with a 5.64 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over six starts.

The Dodgers’ lineup looks much as it did on Saturday, with the lone change coming behind the plate as A.J. Ellis draws the start. Adrian Gonzalez is 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI against Peavy this season.
