Dodgers Videos: Justin Turner Hits 2 Home Runs And Walk-off Single Against Brewers

While the Los Angeles Dodgers collectively struggled through the three-game series with the Colorado Rockies at the conclusion of their previous homestand, there were encouraging signs Justin Turner was regaining form.

Turner wasn’t yet getting the desired results on a consistent basis, but he continued to plug away and make solid contact. That led to a game-deciding home run against hit the San Francisco Giants, and more success against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Turner had at least one hit during each of the three games at Chase Field, including the longest home run of his career.

On Friday, the Dodgers’ third baseman had a performance in line with what’s come to be expected. Turner’s big night began with a solo home run in the first inning that provided a 1-0 lead that held until the sixth inning.

He then hit a second solo home run in eight to pull the Dodgers even with the Brewers:

With the score still knotted at 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th, Will Venable led off with a ground-rule double. After an A.J. Ellis sacrifice bunt advanced him to third, Milwaukee elected to intentionally walk Chase Utley and Corey Seager to load the bases with one out.
