On the heels of SportsNet LA announcing their television schedule for 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training games, the club announced 16 games will be carried on AM 570 LA Sports and/or Univision’s KTNQ 1020 AM.
The radio schedule begins with the Dodgers’ Cactus League opener against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 12:05 p.m. PT. AM 570 and KTNQ 1020 will also carry the following day’s road game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Both stations conclude their preseason coverage with the exhibition Freeway Series, with AM 570 carrying all three games, and KTNQ broadcasting the finale from Dodger Stadium on April 1.
Charley Steiner and Rick Monday return to the radio booth with AM 570, and this year they’ll be joined by former Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti and former utility man Jerry Hairston Jr.
Colletti and Hairston Jr. regularly appear as studio analysts with SportsNet LA. Steiner is entering his 13th season as a play-by-play announcer with the Dodgers, while Monday is in his 25th season as a Dodgers broadcaster and 33rd overall with the organization.
Hall of Famer Jaime Jarrin returns to the broadcast booth for his 59th season and he’s joined by his son Jorge for the third consecutive season. The Jarrins are the only father-son broadcasting team in Major League Baseball Spanish-language radio.
Their slate of games is comprised of contests played on Saturday or Sunday throughout Spring Training.
In addition to their coverage of Cactus League games, AM 570 LA Sports returns Dodger Talk, which is hosted by David Vassegh and will air each weeknight. Programming will include news, highlights and exclusive interviews with Dodgers players and coaches.
