2018 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour Schedule, Start Times And Complete Details

The Los Angeles Dodgers are holding their 15th annual community service week with events scheduled throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour begins Monday, Jan. 22 and concludes Friday, Jan. 26.

The week consists of 12 events that feature Dodgers players, coaches, alumni and broadcaster. In addition, Bank of America employee volunteers are assisting throughout the stops.

The Dodgers will work with numerous municipalities, non-profits and team partners, including the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF), 826LA, Para Los Niños, the City of Alhambra, the L.A. City Council, McDonald’s, the City of Pasadena, Project Scientist and the Dream Center, among others.

As a thank you to fans and the community, the Dodgers will offer a 50 percent discount and early access to purchase tickets to six select April games, with tickets starting at $7. More information on the offer, which will be active until midnight on Friday, Jan. 26, will be revealed on social media early this week.

Event: LA Reads at 826LA

Time: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Location: 826LA, 1714 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles

Alex Wood and Ross Stripling will join fourth grade students from Para Los Niños, a current LADF grant recipient, in the process of brainstorming, writing and creating a book.

Date: Monday, Jan. 22

Event: California Wild Fires First Responders Luncheon/Batting Practice

Time: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Location: Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers are hosting over 350 firefighters who battled wild fires in Southern California for lunch and batting practice. Justin Turner, Kenley Jansen, Kiké Hernández, Joc Pederson, Trayce Thompson, Ross Stripling and Alex Wood are expected to attend.

Event: Dodgers celebrate 60 years in Los Angeles at City Hall

Time: 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

Location: Los Angeles City Hall

Steve Garvey, Fernando Valenzuela, Ron Cey, Steve Yeager and Charley Steiner will join the City Council to make a special presentation in celebration of the Dodgers’ 60 years in Los Angeles.

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 23

Event: Dodgers at McDonald’s

Time: 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Location: Secret location to be revealed Tuesday morning on social media

Yasiel Puig will take orders and the Dodgers will foot the bill at a select McDonald’s location.

Event: Dodgers pet family photo day

Time: 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

Location: Alice’s Dog Park, 3026 E. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena

In partnership with the City of Pasadena, Joc Pederson will take photos with fans and their dogs, who will receive a Dodger dog t-shirt.

Event: S.T.E.M. Night with the Dodgers

Time: 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Location: Lexus Dugout Club (Dodger Stadium)

The Dodgers are hosting 100 female students from Project Scientist for a panel discussion about the role of S.T.E.M. – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – in baseball.

Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi, strength & conditioning coach Brandon McDaniel, members of the club’s analytics department and Judith Peach, a general manager at the Aerospace Corporation, will lead the panel.

Event: Winter Training with the Dodgers

Time: 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Location: GBG Training Academy, 2607 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Redondo Beach

Kenley Jansen, Nomar Garciaparra and Dodgers prospects D.J. Peters and Jacob Amaya will lead Dodgers RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) players from the City of Inglewood in a baseball skills clinic with the help of volunteers from Bank of America.

Event: Dodger Movie Takeover

Chris Taylor and Kyle Farmer will host pre-selected families from Los Angeles, Family Housing and the Boys and Girls Club (Mackenzie-Scott branch) for a screening of Paddington 2, courtesy of Fandango.

Event: Point Mugu Naval Air Station visit

Time: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Location: Point Mugu Naval Air Station, Ventura

Cody Bellinger, Andrew Toles and Kiké Hernández will join military personnel for a tour of the base and simulated training activities.

Event: LA Reads Literacy Corner

Time: 3:45 p.m.-4:15 p.m.

Location: Dream Center, 2301 Bellevue Ave., Los Angeles

Justin Turner will open a new literacy corner with donated books and materials.

Event: ‘Dodger Shave Party’ for childhood cancer awareness

Time: 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Location: Club Level (Dodger Stadium)

Yasiel Puig will shave his head in solidarity with young patients who are undergoing cancer treatment at Cedars-Sinai.

Event: KaBOOM! Playground build

Time: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Location: Alhambra Park, 500 N. Palm Avenue, Alhambra

Dodgers players and employees, Bank of America volunteers, LADF and community members from the City of Alhambra will break ground, build and dedicate a playground in a single day.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. and a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Dave Roberts, Logan Forsythe, Cody Bellinger, Chris Taylor, Joc Pederson, Scott Alexander, Walker Buehler, Tony Cingrani, Kyle Farmer, Tom Koehler, Ross Stripling, Andrew Toles, Alex Verdugo and Joe Davis are among those expected to be in attendance.
